Marylhurst faculty and students can receive tickets for $25 (a $10 discount) upon showing university ID. Advance purchase recommended. The MMTSO Annual Benefit Concert is May 18th, 3-4:30pm. We would love for you to perform - any genre and composer (including yourself) and BILL is the contact person for the performance portion. We would love for you to submit an item for the silent auction and JILLIAN is the contact person for the silent auction. She will have a formal letter explaining the purpose of the donation and tax-deductible info in the next couple days. This would be a letter you can give to potential silent auction contributors to convince them of the worthy cause! KARLA is in charge of promoting this event, so if you have any ideas about advertising, please share them with her. We will have a flyer soon that you can give to your friends/family and post at work, etc... Admission: $10 Adults, $5 for students/seniors.

The MMTSO will be presenting our Spring Masterclass this upcoming Saturday from 10:00-12:00. This will be held in Room 105 in Marion Hall. This masterclass is going to be the first regional masterclass for the Western Region. Chapman University in San Diego has already signed up and Utah state is also planning on signing in. Hopefully other schools in the region will confirming with us this week.
Barbara Dunn, LICSW, MT-BC will be presenting via the Internet from Seattle, WA.
The subject of the teleconference master class is Music Therapy in Medical Settings. Barbara will give an overview of MT in medical settings and discuss interventions. She will talk about working in an interdisciplinary setting and ways to present MT to the medical community.

This weekend the Music Dept is hosting the Northest Hand-made Instrument Show. The show runs from noon-5 both Saturday and Sunday. Instrument makers from throughout the Pacific NW will be on hand in the Hawthorn Room and mini-concerts featuring these hand-made instruments and local performers will be held in the beautiful Flavia Salon. Admission is $3 for adults. Children under 12 are free.
This annual event draws a large number of people to campus (typically over 500 each day).

Wednesday April 23rd, at 12:30pm, Marylhyurst Faculty piano instructor, Lisa Marsh, will perform in St. Anne's Chapel. Lisa is stunning to listen to......worth the time to go and enjoy!!!
